Key Responsibilities of the Clinical Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery

• Deliver safe, effective, and quality nursing care to assigned patients
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process
• Act as a patient advocate and provide culturally competent, age-appropriate care
• Utilize effective communication skills for patient handoffs and documentation
• Demonstrate current knowledge and safe use of equipment, instrumentation, and medications
• Delegate tasks appropriately and supervise care provided by team members
• Ensure patient satisfaction and resolve complaints promptly

Requirements of the Clinical Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery

• Minimum of three years of acute care experience
• Graduate from an accredited school of professional registered nursing; Associate Degree or BSN accepted
• Current CA RN License, AHA BLS, and ACLS certifications
