Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make an impact on the lives of young children in Multnomah County as a dedicated speech-language pathologist. This contract opportunity, beginning mid-August and extending through January 2027 with a high likelihood of year-long continuation, focuses on providing early childhood special education services for children aged 3–5. Work primarily with families and community preschools in Southwest and East Multnomah County; travel within the local region is part of the role.

As a member of a supportive, regional team, you’ll deliver vital speech and language therapy in homes and preschools—never in clinics. Your expertise will help young learners build the strong communication foundations essential for school readiness and lifelong learning. Proactive training is offered, including IEP system support, ensuring you’re set up for success from the start.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current OR state SLP license (required)
• SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY credentials
• Experience or passion for working with pediatric early childhood populations
• Familiarity with school-based or ECSE caseloads
• Strong team communication and documentation skills
• Compassion, adaptability, and commitment to family-centered therapy

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct speech-language services in home and preschool settings
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and community providers in a team-based environment
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Attend and contribute to paid team meetings and planning sessions
• Maintain thorough documentation and complete administrative tasks during indirect hours

The position offers a consistent Monday through Friday, 8 am–3:30 pm schedule during the school year. Indirect time, as well as paid team meetings, are provided. Supervision and ongoing support will ensure professional growth and satisfaction.
