Salad Bar & Kitchen Prep - Corporate Dining | Location: Midvale, UT 84047

Compensation: $19 per hour| Full-Time

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6:30am-3pm; Friday, 6:30am-12pm

Job Summary

At Thomas Cuisine, we are passionate about preparing authentic, scratch-made food using fresh, wholesome ingredients. As a Salad Bar & Kitchen Prep , you'll play a key role in creating an exceptional guest experience by preparing and maintaining vibrant salad bar offerings, supporting daily kitchen production, and ensuring our market and front-of-house areas are ready to deliver outstanding service. This position combines culinary preparation, guest service support, and operational excellence to help bring our REAL Food philosophy to life each day.

What You'll Do

• Prepare, stock, and maintain a fresh, attractive salad bar, including composed salads, dressings, toppings, soups, and grab-and-go items.
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards, including proper labeling, dating, storage, temperature monitoring, and product rotation.
• Collaborate with the Chef or Kitchen Manager to support daily prep and production needs.
• Ensure front-of-house stations are fully stocked, organized, and service-ready after meal periods.
• Support guest-facing operations during service by assisting in the market, deli, grill, salad bar, hearth, or other assigned stations.
• Monitor product levels and proactively replenish food, utensils, plates, condiments, and supplies throughout service.
• Break down, clean, sanitize, and reset workstations, equipment, salad bar units, and storage areas following service.
• Assist with dishwashing, waste removal, and general closing responsibilities as needed.
• Communicate with leadership throughout the shift and complete assigned duties after departure.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support operational success.

What You Will Bring

• High School Diploma/GED
• Previous food service, deli, salad bar, market, café, or restaurant experience preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, labeling, and temperature-control practices.
• Ability to multitask and transition between food preparation, stocking, guest service, and cleaning responsibilities.
• Strong teamwork skills and willingness to support multiple departments as business needs change.
• Commitment to delivering excellent customer service and creating a positive dining experience.
• Dependable attendance, strong work ethic, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while following established recipes, procedures, and direction from leadership.
• Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screen.

Physical and Sensory Requirements

• This job involves regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and a kitchen environment with fumes, airborne particles, and moderate noise. Employees must have the physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift trays, and perform repetitive tasks. Occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions, extreme temperatures, and vibration may occur. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
