If that's you come build your career with us at Welch Equipment Company and let's continue to set the standard!BenefitsLow-cost Medical, Dental, Vision insuranceSTD, LTD, and Life insuranceAccrued Paid Sick Leave and PTO401(k) matchCompensation Range: $24.00 - $34.00ResponsibilitiesRead schematics, diagrams, blueprints in order to perform diagnostic and repairsPerform on-site repairs in the field as needed as well as overhead door and dock equipment maintenance if requestedService, repair, install and perform maintenance requests on commercial dock doors, dock equipment, high speed rolling doors, and commercial entry doorsDesign, fabricate and weld warehouse aftermarket product linePerform maintenance and install EOD's, dock levelers, vehicle restraints, scissor lifts, dock seals and shelters, freight lifts and others as requiredKnowledge and understanding of warehouse racking systems is a PLUSBasic mechanic skills are a must for job performanceAdjust, lay-out, position, align and fit components required at each job siteRequirements and KSAsCommercial dock and overhead door experience preferredHigh school diploma or GED equivalent requiredProficient fitting and welding from shop blueprintsMIG and ARC welding experience preferredBasic knowledge of electrical and mechanical diagnostics and troubleshootingBasic math skills involving measurements and installationsComputer and tablet proficient to maintain inventory and work ordersCustomer Service skillsStrong time management skillsSelf-motivatedValid and Insurable driver's license and the ability to pass a drug screeningAbility to continuously lift and bend, climb ladders up to 20' in height, work on knees for extended periods of time, and proficient operating power toolsAbility to stand and/or walk for extended periods of timeAble to sit, stand, push, pull, stoop, bend, kneel crouch, reach, climb, or crawl on a frequent basisAbility to lift up-to 50 lbs.Able to withstand exposure to hot, cold, wet, or other weather-related conditions
