Travel Pediatric Operating Room Registered Nurse - $2,086 per week

Job Details Title: RN: Operating Room (OR) Travel Nurse Location: Madison, Wisconsin Start Date: 06/08/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours per week: 36 Shift Length: 12 hours (07:00 – 19:30) Employment Type: Travel Nursing Account Manager: Dannielle Collins (Vaya) Responsibilities Perform a wide range of surgical procedures including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, arthroscopy, lumbar drain insertion, and many others. Assist anesthesia during induction and provide intraoperative support. Manage pediatric and adult trauma cases, including burn management and airway services. Apply anti-embolic compression units, insert and remove central lines, and follow wound care protocols. Participate in multidisciplinary team rounds and maintain accurate patient charting. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin or compact RN license. Minimum two years of acute care experience within the last three years in OR specialty. Proficient in Epic Community Hospital charting system. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) optional. Experience with Level I and II trauma patient care. Must possess the skill set required for OR procedures such as arthroscopy, central vein catheterization, intubation, wound closure, and more. Current BLS and PALS certifications required. Benefits & Requirements Pay based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week with a tax‑free stipend (amount to be determined). No on‑call requirement beyond one every 6–8 weekends; night or weekend coverage as specified. Orientation at 600 Highland Ave, room F8/170; approximately one week orientation schedule. Flu vaccine required, COVID‑19 vaccine not required. Maximum two weeks off per contract; additional time determined by manager during review.
