Schedule: 12-hour shifts (Days/Nights or Nights only); rotating schedules available; self-scheduling with flexible requests accepted

Highlights:

• Specialized oncology unit caring for newly diagnosed acute leukemia patients
• Staffing ratio goal of 1:4, maximum 1:5
• Epic charting system; comprehensive orientation includes 1 week dayshift followed by 36 hours of preceptored on-unit training
• Supportive interdisciplinary team including Pharmacy, Rapid Response, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Social Services
• Medical-surgical telemetry experience required; oncology experience preferred but not required
• Chemo certification NOT required for this position

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience; at least 1 year of current specialty experience required
• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS and ONS Chemo certifications preferred
• Experience with telemetry monitoring, interpretation of dysrhythmias, IV therapy, blood product administration, central line management, PICC lines, and feeding tube care
• Epic charting experience required
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• 2 professional references required, including at least 1 from a manager or formal leader
• Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program

Additional Information:

• Float assignments may include other Medical-Surgical Oncology units
• Daily census approximately 22 patients; 24-bed unit
• One pre-approved time-off request per contract
• Strict compliance deadline: Tuesday prior to start date
• Ohio fingerprinting process must be completed promptly upon contract signing
• Local candidates accepted; former employees eligible after 6 months away from facility
