PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
Credentialing Timeline: 60-90 days

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE)
Cardiac anesthesia for open heart, thoracic, vascular, and structural heart cases
General OR anesthesia as needed

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Board: Board Certified in Cardiac Anesthesia and Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE)
Licenses: Active Nebraska license or Universal License (IMLC) highly preferred; will consider candidates needing to obtain license
Certifications: TEE Certification (Advanced Perioperative Echocardiography, NBE testamur status)
Experience: Fellowship in CV Anesthesia with TEE certification, or minimum 5 years documented CV Anesthesia experience with TEE certification
Other Qualifications: Clean malpractice and background history; Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation; Must be available for specified dates

Duties & Responsibilities

Provide cardiac anesthesia for open heart, thoracic, vascular, and structural heart surgeries
Perform transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) as needed
Cover general OR anesthesia cases when required
Participate in unrestricted overnight and weekend call rotation
Supervise CRNAs occasionally
