• Position: Locum Tenens Cardiac Anesthesiologist / Cardiac Anesthesia
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $11,550 - $12,370
• Location: Omaha, NE 68124 (Omaha healthcare / Nebraska locum tenens jobs)
• Setting: 187-bed Level 1 Trauma & Academic Center (high-acuity cardiac, thoracic, vascular, structural heart cases)
• Start Date: ASAP (preferred)
• Duration: Ongoing availability through December 2026
• Shift: Monday-Friday, 8-10 hour days with unrestricted overnight call; weekend hotel call
• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating
• Hours per Week: 36

• Board Certified in Cardiac Anesthesiology and Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) (REQUIRED)
• Completion of an approved ACGME or international equivalent cardiovascular (CV) anesthesia fellowship (REQUIRED)
• Testamur status in Advanced Perioperative Echocardiography (NBE) (REQUIRED)
• NE medical license or IMLC eligibility (Highly Preferred)
• Clean malpractice and background history (Highly Preferred)
• Self-query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation (REQUIRED)
• If not fellowship trained: minimum 5 years documented cardiovascular anesthesia experience with letters of recommendation from both anesthesiologists and CV surgeons, plus testamur status in Advanced Perioperative Echocardiography
• At least 1 year of clinical experience required; experience with high-volume cardiac programs preferred

• Provide hands-on cardiac anesthesia care for open heart, thoracic, vascular, and structural heart cases (approximately 360-450 cardiac cases per year)
• Perform and interpret intraoperative TEE studies and advanced perioperative echocardiography
• Assist with general OR cases and provide perioperative anesthetic management as needed
• Participate in unrestricted overnight and weekend call coverage (locum tenens on-call responsibilities)
• Occasional supervision of CRNAs and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including two cardiac surgeons
• Use EPIC EMR for documentation and perioperative workflows
