Planning Analyst

Location: Plano, TX (Hybrid: 3 days on-site) Employment Type: Full-Time Role Overview This company is seeking a driven Planning Analyst to serve as the crucial link between its US operations and Japanese headquarters. To maintain a dynamic supply chain, this company relies on your expertise to manage inventory across its Mexico and California warehouses, spearhead demand forecasting, and deliver actionable financial and operational reports. Key Responsibilities Data Analysis & Forecasting: Utilize Microsoft Excel to conduct comprehensive data analysis and generate accurate demand forecasts to support strategic business decision-making. Inventory & Supply Chain Management: Oversee and optimize inventory levels across warehouse locations in Mexico and California. Cross-Functional Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports to the Japan headquarters, ensuring alignment on overall business goals. Bilingual Coordination: Participate in standing weekly meetings with the Japanese team (twice per week) to ensure seamless communication and reporting. Operational Support: Assist with internal communications, the creation of visual data/graphs, and expense accounting/reconciliation. Systems Utilization: Utilize SAP as the primary system for data management and daily planning activities. Ad-Hoc Tasks & Support: Assist with various small tasks, special projects, and day-to-day duties as needed to support the broader team. Requirements Experience: 2–5 years of experience as a Planning Analyst, in Supply Chain, or an equivalent role. Experience within the manufacturing industry is highly preferred. Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data modeling, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, charting). Hands-on experience with SAP is required. Analytical Ability: Strong numerical aptitude with the proven ability to interpret and translate complex data sets. Language Skills: Bilingual proficiency in English and Japanese is required to ensure seamless communication and coordination with the headquarters in Japan. Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, a proactive mindset, and a strong drive for professional growth and self-improvement. Flexibility: Ability to adapt to scheduled meetings with the Japan team (twice a week) to accommodate time zone differences. Benefits & Compensation Salary Range: $60,000 – $70,000 per year.
