Planning Analyst

Key Responsibilities Data Analysis & Forecasting: Utilize Microsoft Excel to conduct comprehensive data analysis and generate accurate demand forecasts to support strategic business decision-making. Inventory & Supply Chain Management: Oversee and optimize inventory levels across warehouse locations in Mexico and California. Cross-Functional Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports to the Japan headquarters, ensuring alignment on overall business goals. Bilingual Coordination: Participate in standing weekly meetings with the Japanese team (twice per week) to ensure seamless communication and reporting. Operational Support: Assist with internal communications, the creation of visual data/graphs, and expense accounting/reconciliation. Systems Utilization: Utilize SAP as the primary system for data management and daily planning activities. Ad-Hoc Tasks & Support: Assist with various small tasks, special projects, and day-to-day duties as needed to support the broader team. Requirements Experience: 2–5 years of experience as a Planning Analyst, in Supply Chain, or an equivalent role. Experience within the manufacturing industry is highly preferred. Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data modeling, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, charting). Hands-on experience with SAP is required. Analytical Ability: Strong numerical aptitude with the proven ability to interpret and translate complex data sets. Language Skills: Bilingual proficiency in English and Japanese is required to ensure seamless communication and coordination with the headquarters in Japan. Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, a proactive mindset, and a strong drive for professional growth and self-improvement. Flexibility: Ability to adapt to scheduled meetings with the Japan team (twice a week) to accommodate time zone differences. Benefits & Compensation Salary Range: $60,000 – $70,000 per year.
