Database Developer (SQL)

Salary: $121,000 - 161,000 per year Requirements:

• 7+ years of SQL or database development experience.
• Advanced SQL development skills.
• Strong experience with SQL Server and/or Oracle, including solid Oracle knowledge.
• Experience with stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, indexing, and query optimization.
• Knowledge of relational database design and data modeling.
• Experience troubleshooting high-volume enterprise databases.
• Familiarity with ETL and data integration.
• Understanding of source control and CI/CD practices.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted software development and modern data platforms.
• Ability to lead and own an end-to-end application migration from SQL Anywhere to SQL Server, including web services and related components, with minimal oversight.
• Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; a masters degree is preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a clearance is preferred.
• Federal, FDA, or HHS experience is preferred.
• Experience with Azure SQL or AWS database services is preferred.
• Python or scripting experience is preferred.
• Experience supporting AI/ML data workloads is preferred.

• Design and develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, and other database objects.
• Develop scalable database solutions for enterprise applications.
• Tune SQL queries and optimize database performance.
• Analyze execution plans and identify performance bottlenecks.
• Support data migration, transformation, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation.
• Develop ETL and data integration processes.
• Collaborate with application developers, DBAs, analysts, and QA engineers.
• Troubleshoot production data and application issues.
• Create scripts for automated database deployments.
• Ensure database solutions meet security, data integrity, and coding standards.
• Assist with data modeling and database design.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate query development, documentation, troubleshooting, and performance analysis, validating generated code.
• Support data structures and pipelines for AI-enabled features, analytics, semantic search, or machine learning applications where applicable.
• Lead and execute the application transition from SQL Anywhere to SQL Server, including web services and related components.
