Front Desk Receptionist – Front Office A locally owned urgent‑care clinic is hiring a part‑time front‑office, non‑clinical associate to support our operational care team. Responsibilities Greet and welcome patients and visitors at the front desk. Answer phone calls, take messages, and direct calls to appropriate staff members. Register patients on the EMR system and verify insurance eligibility. Collect patient payments and maintain accounts receivable. Check‑in patients and handle necessary paperwork. Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar. Assist with patient registration, update patient records, and perform data entry. Scan documents and maintain accurate records in the computer system. Manage incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and emails. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area. Assist the medical team and healthcare provider with various administrative tasks. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of one year experience in an administrative or front‑desk receptionist role; previous experience in a medical setting is preferred. Knowledge of medical billing and coding is a plus. Understanding of universal precautions, HIPAA, and OSHA requirements. Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt in a fast‑paced environment, multi‑task, and work independently. Schedule & Working Hours Available full‑time (approximately 3.5 shifts per week). Weekend flexibility every other week is required. Benefits & Compensation Compensation: $19.00 per hour.
