About the Role:
Academy of Excellence Learning Center in Lancaster, CA is looking for a passionate and nurturing Lead Infant Teacher to join our dedicated early childhood team! In this rewarding role, you'll play a vital part in shaping the earliest developmental milestones of our youngest learners in a warm, supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement age-appropriate developmental activities for infants in alignment with early childhood education standards
• Provide attentive, responsive care including feeding, diapering, and soothing to meet each infant's individual needs
• Observe and document infant growth, milestones, and daily activities for parent communication and developmental tracking
• Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment that supports sensory and cognitive development
• Build trusting relationships with families through consistent, open communication and daily updates
• Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides within the infant room
• Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and health and safety protocols

Requirements:

• Minimum 15 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units required; infant/toddler units needed
• Previous experience working with infants in a licensed childcare or early learning setting
• Strong knowledge of infant developmental stages and best practices in early childhood education
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to pass a background check and meet California Community Care Licensing requirements
• Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with a genuine passion for infant care
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with parents and staff
