With moderate supervision, the Retail Keyholder assists the store management team in executing and supervising all store activities. They provide outstanding guest service experiences within a sales culture that utilizes elements of GameStop\'s Circle of Life buy, sell, trade, and reservation business model. This position ensures products are easily accessible and purchasable, boosts sales by sharing product and gaming knowledge with guests, maintains a clean and organized shopping environment, and fosters guest loyalty and repeat business. Responsibilities Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests, respond to questions/concerns promptly and courteously, assist with video gaming needs, inform guests about promotions and the trade-in program, recommend additional items as appropriate, apply selling behaviors during transactions, and thank guests for choosing GameStop. Prioritize guests over tasks and circulate throughout the store. Support the shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, and nurture guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business. Process guest purchases and returns accurately via the POS system, ensuring top-notch guest service. Address guest questions in person or by phone, ensuring prompt, courteous, and professional service. Promote GameStop\'s guest benefits, such as the new title reservations program and the Pro Rewards loyalty program. Ensure all areas of the store, including restrooms, are clean, organized, and merchandised according to company guidelines; ensure store fixtures and equipment are in proper working order. Complete Omni-Channel orders daily. Safeguard company assets through inventory control and loss prevention practices, including scam awareness, safety best practices, and bank deposits as required. Conduct store inventory counts, stock/restock merchandise, and move products to ensure representation, organization, and alphabetization on the selling floor. Support store management in meeting and exceeding sales, profit, and shrink goals and complete required administrative and operational duties. Count, balance, and reconcile daily POS totals; complete closeout paperwork and bank deposits; ensure sufficient cash and change; make daily deposits per guidelines. Check shipments for discrepancies or shortages and report to the Store Manager as needed. Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls with proper labeling and packing lists. Visually inspect packages and belongings at store closing or end of shift. Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates in the absence of management. Adhere to GameStop policies and procedures as described in the Associate Handbook and the Code of Standards, Ethics & Conduct. Follow opening and closing procedures and observe associate performance, providing timely feedback to management. Qualifications Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required. At least 1 year of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred. Video game knowledge preferred. Must be able to work alone, stand, and move throughout the store unassisted for up to 10 hours per day. Required Job Skills And Abilities Exceptional guest service skills. Provide genuine and friendly assistance to every guest during each visit. Clear verbal and written communication and listening skills, in English; bilingual English/Spanish is preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. Meet performance expectations, including attendance, professional dress, and grooming. Operate the POS system and complete required paperwork accurately. Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and alphabetizing skills. Self-motivation and ability to work as a team to complete tasks in a timely manner. Problem-solving skills and sound judgment. Follow instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form. Deliver bank deposits following loss prevention safety guidelines. Work a flexible schedule, including extended hours/days as necessary, including nights, weekends, and some holidays (minimum 3 days/week). Remain effective under pressure and handle stress appropriately. Physical ability to bend, stoop, reach, climb ladders, and lift up to 30 lbs from ground to 4 feet.
