Engineering Support Specialist

Talascend is currently seeking an Engineering Support Specialist for a contract opportunity with our client in Seattle, Washington . Overview This role involves providing support to engineers on technical projects and/or products, including collecting, maintaining, organizing, and manipulating technical data, creating prototypes, preparing engineering documentation, reports, drawings, and performing mathematical calculations and analyses. Responsibilities Support engineers on technical projects by collecting, maintaining, and organizing technical data. Create, build, assemble, modify, and repair prototypes. Prepare engineering documentation, reports, and drawings such as sketches, flow charts, diagrams, and schematics. Perform mathematical calculations according to engineering specifications. Analyze data and recommend solutions to problems and obstacles. Set up and conduct tests, record data to assist with engineering analysis. Assist in scientific tasks such as permit applications or calibration of mathematical models for complex projects. Exercise independent judgment within established practices and policies. Collaborate with peers, subordinates, and outside customers, exchanging factual information regularly. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent with 4 years of related experience. OR AA degree in related discipline with 2 years of related experience. Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.
