Outside Sales Representative

The Outside Sales Representative owns assigned territory. This individual will guide their inside sales team and manage the customers in their territory to meet company sales and profit initiatives. The Outside sales representative will report to The Area Sales manager and will work closely with the Inside sales reps to help the territory provide superior customer experiences internally and externally. Territory: W Tennessee, W Kentucky, SE Missouri, E Arkansas, and N Mississippi

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Directs sales activity by leading their Inside sales team, communicating the needs of the customer across the organization and reporting performance / market trends for the territory
• Facilitates the sales planning and execution process to support Territory growth
• Analyze current sales trends, market conditions and other pertinent information to drive Sales planning process to ensure all areas are capable of meeting customer needs
• Works with R&D and managers to help develop the roadmap for future-generation products or markets
• Fosters continuous engagement with customers including customer visits, facilitation of on-site meetings and attendance/participation in industry-based trade shows
• Drives personal talent development through product knowledge, sales training, value selling and objection handling
• Customer Problem Solving: Leads commercial discussion and/or actions related to solving concerns introduced by our customers
• Form strong relationships with Top Tier customers and develop an in-depth knowledge of other mid-upper level customers/prospects as directed
• Remains focused on growing their territory through market share growth, cross selling opportunities and new business
• Navigate Territory strategically utilizing company tools
• One of the primary duties of the role is making sales and obtaining orders

Qualifications:

• Preferred: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university or equivalent work experience

Experience/Skills/Abilities Required:

• Must possess a valid driver's license and meet the company's motor vehicle safety standards, driving is an essential function of the role
• Must be willing to sign our standard non-compete agreement
• Prior outside sales experience is required

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

Office, fabrication and manufacturing shops moderate to loud noise level. This position regularly requires standing; walking; sitting; use hands; reaching with hands and arms; and talking and/or hearing. Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds. The position regularly performs duties away from the place of business. Frequent driving is a requirement of the position.
