Production Associate

Position Purpose The Gutter Production Associate at SRS Building Products plays a vital role in ensuring the precision and efficiency of metal forming processes to meet customer specifications and production deadlines. The position is responsible for operating and maintaining roll forming machines, troubleshooting operational errors, and ensuring optimal production output with minimal material waste, all while adhering to safety standards in a team‑oriented environment. Key Responsibilities Operate roll forming machinery to produce metal products as detailed in work orders, ensuring safety protocols and quality standards. Monitor machine performance, check gauges, dials, and other indicators, and resolve operational issues to maintain continuous production flow. Troubleshoot and resolve machine malfunctions efficiently, minimizing downtime. Maintain and surpass production targets by adhering to strict project timelines for both on‑site and off‑site engagements. Implement regular maintenance routines to guarantee optimal performance of manufacturing machinery. Optimize material usage by reducing non‑chargeable waste to foster a cost‑effective production environment. Stay updated on industry advancements and integrate new technological processes into daily operations. Accurately document material usage and completed tasks for billing and inventory purposes. Minimum Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or GED. Experience: 1‑2 years in sheet metal fabrication or installation preferred; entry‑level training available. Technical Proficiencies: Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting; knowledge of machine operations; basic math skills for inventory counting; ability to read and interpret work orders. Language: Proficiency in English required; bilingual English/Spanish considered an advantage. Licenses: Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred and may be offered through in‑house academy. Physical: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, bend, and maintain fine motor skills. Legal: Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship; ability to pass background checks, driving records, and drug screening. Preferred Qualifications Advanced technical aptitude for interpreting blueprints and architectural drawings. Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives. Quality assurance experience in metal fabrication. Proficiency with CAD software for design adjustments. Leadership or team building experience. Advanced safety certifications relevant to manufacturing. Customer service excellence and project management experience. Awareness of environmental standards and energy‑efficient practices.
