Accounting Assistant - QuickBooks a must!

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Accounting Assistant to join a local Omaha Company!

Position Details :

• Type: Evaluation Hire

• Schedule: Monday-Friday standard business hours

• Location: Omaha, NE (on-site)

• Pay/Salar y: Starting at $20/hr

Job Duties:

• Perform daily data entry, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions

• Maintain and reconcile financial records in QuickBooks

• Process invoices, payments, expense reports, and vendor statements

• Assist with payroll preparation and related documentation

• Prepare basic financial reports and summaries as requested

• Support month-end and year-end closing processes

• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors on accounting-related inquiries

• Maintain accurate filing systems-digital and physical

Requirements:

• Recent professional experience using QuickBooks (mandatory)

• 1-3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience

• Working knowledge of basic accounting principles

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)

• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
