Harvard FCU: Job DescriptionJob-Specific Responsibilities: The Business Intelligence Manager leads our data and analytics function, helping the organization make smarter, faster, and more impactful decisions. The Business Intelligence Manager oversees a team of analysts and partners across the credit union to unlock the value of our data, drive growth, improve member experience, and enable innovation. This role also leads to the evolution of our data warehouse, reporting tools, and analytics capabilities to ensure data is accessible, trusted, and actionable.Data Strategy & LeadershipChampion a culture of data-informed decision-making across the organizationPartner with senior leaders and business units to identify and prioritize high-impact opportunitiesLead, coach, and develop a high-performing analytics teamOwn key analytics platforms and vendor relationshipsBridge business and technical teams to ensure the right questions are asked and answered with confidenceData Analysis & Business IntelligenceLead development of intuitive dashboards and reporting (e.g., Tableau)Translate business needs into meaningful metrics, KPIs, and insightsDeliver actionable analysis across member growth, lending, deposits, and digital engagementEmpower teams through self-service analytics and data accessibilityData Governance & QualityEstablish practical, scalable data governance standardsEnsure data integrity through quality controls and monitoringDefine and maintain data definitions, lineage, and documentationSupport compliance with regulatory, privacy, and security requirementsData Warehouse & ArchitectureLead design and optimization of the enterprise data warehouseOversee data pipelines and integrations across core, digital, lending, and third-party systemsEnsure performance, scalability, and reliability of the data environmentStay current on modern data platforms and architectures (e.g., Snowflake)Other duties as assigned.QualificationsBasic Qualifications:Basic Qualifications are the minimum threshold a candidate must meet in order to be considered for this role.Minimum of two years’ post-secondary education or relevant work experienceSupervisory experienceAdditional Qualifications and Skills: The following qualifications are strongly preferred. Harvard FCU values employees with a willingness to learn.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; Masters degree preferredStrong SQL expertiseExperience working with structured and unstructured data environmentsProficiency with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)Background in quantitative analysis and statistical modelingUnderstanding of data infrastructure and ELT/ETL frameworksStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to translate complex data into clear, actionable insightsExcellent communication and presentation skillsAbility to work independently and collaborativelyStrong organization and attention to detailProven leadership and team development experience preferredAdditional InformationWorking Conditions: Onsite work is performed in an office settingStandard Hours/Schedule: 35 hours per week. 3 days a month onsite with 1-week WFH. The work schedule and location will be set by the department at its discretion and based upon operational needs. When not working at a Harvard or Harvard-designated location, employees in hybrid positions must work in a Harvard registered state in compliance with the University’s Policy on Employment Outside of Massachusetts. Additional details will be discussed during the interview process. Certain visa types and funding sources may limit work location.
