Water Resources Engineer

Water Resources Engineer – Responsibilities Provide project engineering and task management on water resources design projects. Supervise and delegate work to junior engineers and support staff as necessary. Conduct stormwater collection systems modeling and design. Perform floodplain, inundation, and hydrologic studies. Perform sediment transport and scour analyses to support water resources projects. Assist in water resources permitting efforts. Collect, evaluate, and present data in technical reports and oral presentations. Prepare engineering plans and specifications for detention facilities, storm drains, flood control facilities, and other hydraulic structures. Work independently and within multidisciplinary teams of geomorphologists, biologists, planners, emergency managers, and additional hydraulic and water resources engineers. Contribute to business development, marketing, and proposal preparation efforts. Qualifications Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering. Preferred: Master’s degree with emphasis in Hydrology and/or Hydraulics (or related). 4-10 years of increasingly responsible professional experience in the study, design, and construction administration of water resource-related projects. Colorado Professional Engineer license, or ability to obtain within 6 months. Experience with floodplain, inundation, hydrologic, sediment transport, and scour analyses; stormwater system modeling; permitting processes. Strong technical writing and oral presentation skills. Location & Compensation Denver, Colorado. Annual salary range: $95,000 - $145,000+ depending on experience. Other Requirements Wilson & Company is not currently sponsoring applicants for work visas.
