Job Title Warehouse Manager Location Conover, North Carolina Reports To National Sales Manager Job Type Full‑Time Classification Salary, Exempt Supervisory Responsibilities Supervises Warehouse Associates Position Summary The Warehouse Manager plays a key role in top‑tier customer service. This position will oversee all warehouse operations, including personnel, order fulfillment, material receiving, packaging, carrier scheduling, and inventory accuracy. It is a hands‑on leadership role requiring active participation in day‑to‑day operations to support business demands. The Warehouse Manager is responsible for maintaining a safe work environment while leading warehouse operations, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring exceptional customer service. Warehouse Management Promote a safe and courteous workplace environment using 5S principles and supporting warehouse organization; lead and continuously improve the safety program by promoting safe work practices, ensuring compliance with company policies, and fostering a culture of workplace safety; lead the continuous improvement program by utilizing Lean principles, facilitating Kaizen events, maintaining the Lean Daily Management (LDM) board, conducting daily warehouse meetings, and identifying opportunities to improve safety, quality, and operational efficiency; drive inventory accuracy through daily cycle counts, inventory monitoring, and timely resolution of discrepancies; manage personnel through hiring, training, coaching, assigning daily work, performance evaluations, facilitating monthly team meetings, and managing digital timecards; prepare freight documentation and coordinate shipping activities for accurate and timely deliveries; ensure efficient utilization of personnel, equipment, storage space, and other operational resources; lead and coordinate the annual physical inventory process to ensure accurate records and audit success. Cross Department Collaboration Collaborate with accounting, purchasing, sales, and other departments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment, inventory transactions, and material receipts; represent the warehouse in cross‑functional process improvement meetings to identify efficiency opportunities; partner with internal stakeholders to resolve shipping, receiving, inventory, and customer service issues promptly; communicate priorities, challenges, and process improvements with leadership and cross‑functional teams to support business objectives. System & Data Management Utilize the Warehouse Management System (WMS) or similar software to support daily operations and maintain inventory accuracy; operate within the Epicor/Kinetic ERP system to process transactions and maintain accurate records; prepare, maintain, and verify shipping documentation, inventory records, and related reports; use the company learning management system (LMS) or portal to complete required training and maintain compliance with policies. Attention to Detail – high accuracy in inventory management, shipping documentation, and transactions. Safety & Compliance – commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and complying with company policies and safety requirements. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred. 2+ years of leadership experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with ERP systems (e.g., Epicor/Kinetic). High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively. Strong problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution skills. Team‑oriented mindset with a proactive, customer‑first attitude. 5S/Lean experience preferred. Schedule Monday – Friday (8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) Work Environment Warehouse setting with exposure to machinery, noise, and temperature fluctuations. Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, repetitive hand movements, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Work Location On‑site. Occasional travel to other company locations may be required to support inventory activities, training, operational initiatives, or other business needs.
