Billing Representative

Intune Physical Therapy is a growing company and has partnered with Spero Rehab to offer physical therapy services to patients in the Austin and Houston, TX areas. With over 17 years of experience and seven clinic locations, Spero Rehab specializes in neurological rehabilitation, orthopedic care, sports injury rehabilitation, pelvic floor therapy, and aquatic therapy. You will be an employee of Intune PT which is doing business as Spero Rehab in this market.We are seeking a detail‑oriented, organized, and patient‑focused Billing Representative to join our outpatient physical therapy clinic. This role is essential to ensuring accurate billing, timely reimbursement, and a smooth experience for our patients. Candidates with prior experience in medical billing, insurance verification, or accounts receivable (A/R) are strongly preferred.Key ResponsibilitiesManage insurance A/R, including timely follow‑up on outstanding claims, denials, and appealsPost payments from insurance companies and patients; reconcile accounts as neededCommunicate with patients regarding balances, payment plans, and billing questions in a professional and compassionate mannerReview and correct claim errors to minimize delays in reimbursementCollaborate with front desk and clinical staff to ensure accurate documentation and codingQualificationsExperience in medical billing, insurance A/R, or revenue cycle management preferredKnowledge of CPT codes, ICD‑10, and common insurance requirements (Medicare, commercial plans, workers’ comp)Prior experience in physical therapy or other outpatient rehab settings is a plusStrong attention to detail and problem‑solving skillsExcellent communication skills with both patients and insurance representativesAbility to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlinesProficiency with EMR and billing softwareAbout Intune Physical TherapyAt Intune, we build deeply personalized physical therapy experiences, tailored to each individual’s unique story and needs.
