Veterinary Technician - Internal Medicine

BluePearl Pet Hospital – Veterinary Technician, Internal Medicine (Brentwood, TN) We are seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Veterinary Technician to join our fast‑paced Internal Medicine department. About the Role As an Internal Medicine Veterinary Technician, you are a liaison between our internists and our clients regarding patient histories, care instructions, lab results, patient updates, and other topics as requested by the doctors. You will be involved with client contact through phone calls, email, and in‑person conversations, and you will assist with endoscopic and ultrasound procedures, prescription filling, X‑ray taking, and obtaining lab samples. Strong anesthesia and phlebotomy skills are required. Responsibilities Set up constant rate infusions (CRI). Calculate all medical math, including advanced and CRI (mcg/mg, %/mg, etc.). Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia. Set up for ultrasound and radiology procedures. Set up and assist with endoscopic procedures (GI, nasal, urinary, airway); clean and maintain equipment after each procedure. Discharge IM patients from the hospital, including basic client education such as insulin injection, SQ fluid, and feeding tube demonstrations. Additional job duties as assigned. Why BluePearl?
