You will align with a multi-disciplinary team that includes psychiatrists, psychologists, and other licensed professionals, creating a holistic approach to patient care. Key Responsibilities As a Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments to evaluate client needs and develop individualized treatment plans. Implementing recognized therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), adapting these approaches based on each client’s unique situation. Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records in full compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies. Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary treatment team to enhance patient outcomes through shared knowledge and coordinated care strategies. Participating in monthly case consultations and peer review meetings to improve therapy techniques and treatment delivery. Educating clients and their families on mental health disorders and available treatment options while providing resources to community support services. Staying current with new research and therapeutic techniques to consistently deliver the best possible care. Patient Population / Client Focus Your primary focus will be on a diverse range of clients, including adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and other mental health conditions. You will be instrumental in helping these individuals build coping strategies, enhance their self-awareness, and foster a supportive environment for recovery. Our holistic approach ensures that all clients receive personalized attention that considers their unique backgrounds, experiences, and mental health journeys. Qualifications The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications: A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. A current, valid license to practice in Texas as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD). Proven ability to employ solution-focused therapy techniques and methodologies tailored to the needs of individual clients. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills that foster strong rapport with clients and colleagues. Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills to navigate client challenges effectively. Preferred Experience While not mandatory, the following experiences are preferred: Experience working in a community health clinic or similar environment. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems. Background in crisis intervention and managing high-stress situations. Compensation and Benefits We recognize and reward the expertise that our Mental Health Counselors bring to our team. The salary range for this position is between USD 90,000 and 105,000 annually, commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
