The Medication Aide plays a vital role in supporting the healthcare team by administering medications accurately and monitoring patients in an assisted living environment. This position requires strong attention to detail, effective communication, and adherence to safety and compliance standards to ensure the well-being of residents. The Medication Aide reports directly to the Nurse Supervisor, Facility Manager, and Pharmacy Coordinator.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications according to prescribed instructions
• Maintain accurate medication and patient records
• Monitor patients for medication effects and report concerns
• Manage medication inventory and supplies
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with nursing and healthcare staff
• Provide customer service and support to residents
• Support assisted living operations with documentation and communication

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in medication administration
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Medication Aide Certification
• Experience with basic patient care and record keeping
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Familiarity with inventory management procedures
