Fishermen’s Source – Premium Saltwater & Freshwater Tackle Fishermen’s Source is a leading national retailer of premium saltwater and freshwater fishing gear, with a thriving and growing retail store supported by a high‑volume eCommerce operation. We are seeking a strong, calculated, and performance‑driven Retail Manager to lead our retail division with discipline, operational excellence, and a deep understanding of fishing. This is not a basic store manager role. We are looking for a strategic leader who understands inventory, margin, merchandising, customer psychology, and team performance — and who can execute at a high level in a specialty retail environment. Role Overview The Retail Manager will oversee all day‑to‑day retail operations, ensuring that the storefront operates efficiently, profitably, and in alignment with the Fishermen’s Source brand. This individual will drive sales performance, manage inventory with precision, lead and develop the retail team, and coordinate seamlessly with our warehouse and eCommerce operations. Key Responsibilities Retail Leadership & Sales Performance Drive revenue growth and margin performance in the retail store Set and track sales goals, KPIs, and conversion metrics Coach and develop retail staff to maximize performance and product expertise Lead by example on the sales floor Inventory & Merchandising Strategy Maintain disciplined inventory control aligned with our eCommerce systems Execute high‑impact merchandising strategies by season and fishery Oversee replenishment, purchasing coordination, and shrink control Implement loss prevention protocols Customer Experience & Expertise Deliver a high‑level, consultative customer experience Advise customers based on real fishing knowledge and current conditions Stay current with product innovations and industry trends Build long‑term relationships with local anglers and charter captains Operational Excellence Coordinate with warehouse and eCommerce teams for seamless omnichannel execution Maintain store organization, cleanliness, and presentation standards Develop and refine retail policies and procedures Ensure accurate POS and reporting practices Marketing & Brand Integration Collaborate on local cross‑promotions and in‑store events Support social media initiatives and content development when appropriate Represent Fishermen’s Source as a brand ambassador in the fishing community Benefits Competitive salary commensurate with experience Performance bonuses tied to store growth and profitability 401k with company match and potential profit sharing OSHERA (tax‑free reimbursement for health insurance premiums and eligible expenses) Paid time off (vacation, sick, and holidays) Employee discount on premium fishing products This is an opportunity to lead a high‑growth retail operation within a nationally recognized fishing brand.
