Floating Security Officer - Full Time - Naperville/Oakbrook Apex3 Security is a regionally recognized contract security service firm that provides the highest quality customized security programs to world‑class commercial, residential and retail properties in the Chicago and Suburban market. Responsibilities Perform functions directed to protect the building and its occupants. Attend roll call and review any communication from building and/or security management. Conduct interior and exterior patrols. Greet and direct all visitors. Maintain and conduct access control, permitting only authorized individuals to enter the building. Respond to emergency situations in a timely manner. Monitor PC‑based security/CCTV system and respond to any disturbances. Maintain radio communication with all building personnel. Maintain security presence in the building as a deterrent for suspicious activity. Respond and report all incidents pertaining to security and building operations. Evaluate, investigate and report all types of security and law enforcement incidents; complete incident reports when necessary. Prepare daily paperwork including inventory or Daily Condition Report. Perform other duties not listed and that are assigned. Work all shifts and be on call when needed. Maintain open availability to work 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift. Qualifications Prior security experience preferred. High School diploma or equivalent. Evidence of customer service skills and ability to communicate orally and in writing. Capability to meet team deadlines and responsibilities, listen to others, value opinions, and support team goals. Ability to work independently, accept accountability, handle change, set personal standards, and maintain attendance/punctuality.
