About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PACU/Pre Op/Phase 2 Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day 4x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1-2 years in specialty required License: Active nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required Must-Have: Epic experience required First-timers accepted Description: The position involves working as a RN in the PACU/Pre Op/Phase 2. This RN will operate in two different locations within the same facility. Shifts consist of four 12-hour shifts. The patient to nurse ratio is 1:1. Weekend shifts are needed based on unit requirements. There is no on-call requirement. The clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs. Preference is for minimal request time off, ideally not exceeding five days. The facility may cancel up to three shifts without penalty or obligation. Epic experience is essential for charting. No specific requirements for trauma level experience but familiarity is valued. The facility offers a supportive team environment with various interdisciplinary services. Candidates may work with diverse patient demographics, including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Candidate must be prepared to manage a variety of clinical procedures within the recovery environment. Teamwork and cooperation among various support services are emphasized for patient care. Compliance with health regulations and safety protocols is mandatory. Candidates should maintain effective communication with patients and their families during recovery. Other responsibilities include providing discharge instructions and follow-up care as needed. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong clinical skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
