Description Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients spanning the pediatric, adult, and geriatric age groups using both standardized and observational assessment tools. Craft individualized treatment plans that detail achievable short-term goals while addressing long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges. Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions centered on communication, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing. Collaborate closely with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to implement cohesive care plans. Provide education for patients and families to facilitate progress outside of clinical appointments. Participate in occasional evaluations and interventions in an inpatient setting, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the entire therapeutic process. Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards. Stay engaged with the latest advancements in the field through continuous education and collaboration with peers. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not already ASHA-certified. Certifications Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist . Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment. Skills Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for all age ranges, with a profound comprehension of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Outstanding communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams. Flexibility to adapt therapy practices to cater to diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
