Human Resources Manager, Multi Site $90,000–$100,000, pending experience and skill set Full-time opportunity in Tacoma, WA (supporting hospitals across Tacoma and the Seattle Metropolitan area) Schedule: In-person at the Tacoma, WA hospital, with monthly onsite travel to AMCS and CBEAM sites. Ethos is seeking a dedicated Field Human Resources Manager to provide invaluable support to three of our vibrant veterinary hospitals across Tacoma, WA and the Seattle Metropolitan area: Summit Veterinary Referral Center (Tacoma), Animal Medical Center of Seattle (Shoreline), and Center for Bird and Exotic Animal Medicine (Bothell). In your day-to-day, you will: Serve as a key liaison between staff and management, providing guidance on company policies, practices, and regulations, and offering expert advice on employee relations issues, including coaching, feedback, and progressive discipline Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including USCIS Form I-9 verification, ADA accommodations, and FMLA/FAMLI leave administration Serve as the local point of contact for employees and leaders regarding leave-related questions, and partner with the Center of Excellence (COE) to support timely communication and documentation Oversee the onboarding process, conduct new employee orientation, and provide ongoing training and development opportunities Collaborate closely with the Hospital Director and management team to develop and administer HR programs, procedures, and guidelines aligned with hospital and company goals Partner with Hospital Leadership to develop and implement employee engagement activities and culture initiatives, including staff appreciation events Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture What You Bring A minimum of five years of progressive experience in Human Resources positions; experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, and veterinary experience is desirable A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, Organization Development, or a related field is preferred; PHR or SHRM-CP certification is preferred Significant experience in employee relations, ADA, and FMLA, along with solid understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present to groups effectively; ability to travel as needed within the Tacoma/Seattle Metropolitan area A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care, with strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence that foster trust across all levels of the organization Perks & Benefits Benefits for this role may include health insurance (medical, dental, vision), retirement benefits, paid time off (including sick leave and vacation), short-term and long-term disability, and life insurance Competitive compensation CE allowance and uniform allowance Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time offRetirement savings options (401k) Disability insurance, life insurance, and Employee Assistance Program with a focus on mental health Location Highlight Tacoma sits at the gateway to the South Puget Sound, offering easy access to Mount Rainier, Puget Sound waterways, and a revitalized downtown with a growing food and arts scene.
