Generator Technician

Generator TechnicianWe are recruiting a high-level Generator Technician in Nashville, TN for a well-established power generation company in the entertainment industry. This is a predominantly shop-based role focusing on mobile generators. The job duties include electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, automatic transfer switches, paralleling and switchgear. If your target pay is higher, we still encourage you to apply—we could request adjustments based on experience and market conditions.Comprehensive benefits including health plans, 401K + 4% company match.Paid time off, and more!Stable work supporting mission-critical power systems for commercial and industrial clientsResponsibilitiesDiagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex electrical, mechanical, electronic, and digital control system issues on a wide variety of mobile generator units.Remove, repair, and replace major components, including starters, alternators, digital controllers, and fuel system elements.Set up, configure, and test generator paralleling systems to ensure seamless multi-unit synchronization and load sharing.Troubleshoot, program, and repair automatic transfer switches (ATS) and integrated mobile switchgear configurations.Perform comprehensive load-bank testing and rigorous quality checks on all mobile assets before deployment back into the field.Accurately document all diagnostic findings, parts used, and repair actions within the shop's maintenance tracking system.Requirements5+ years of generator experience preferredStrong troubleshooting skills across electrical and mechanical systemsAbility to travel overnight ~once/quarterAbility to be on call requiredApplication Process If your experience matches the description above, submit your resume, and one of our recruiters will be in touch to tell you more about the position and learn more about your experience and aspirations.If your experience does not match this job description, we still encourage you to reach out to one of our recruiters, so we can learn about your professional aspirations for future job openings.
