Registered Nurse (RN) Med/Surg

Position Overview Department: Carolinas Medical Center: Mercy - Nursing: 7N Surgery Orthopedics Status: Part time Hours per week: 24 Schedule: Weekender Part‑time days – two 12‑hour shifts every Saturday & Sunday from 7am–7pm. Sign‑on bonus available to applicants who have not received a sign‑on bonus from the company for another role within the past 24 months. Relocation bonus available if current residency is outside of designated distance to facility. Pay range: $38.20 – $57.30 per hour Location: 48‑bed Orthopedic Surgery Medical Surgical Telemetry Unit. Common procedures: total joint knee, hip, shoulder replacement, spine, shoulder procedures, general medical patients. Benefits Eligible: Yes Qualifications At least 1 year of inpatient nursing experience preferred; 6 months required outside of New Grad residency program. Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program. Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association. Responsibilities Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Apply evidence‑based practice, clinical decision‑making, compassion, and skilled communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
