Senior Process Technical Writer

Salary: $145,600 - 156,000 per year Requirements:

• At least 5 years of writing or editing experience in a regulated environment, focused on internal process documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Bachelors degree in communications, professional writing, XX, biological, medical, or engineering sciences, or equivalent experience.
• Strong writing, grammar, content development, and style skills, with the analytical ability to understand and communicate complex scientific and engineering concepts.
• Ability to understand and create flow charts.
• Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple project deliverables under tight deadlines, set priorities, and manage time effectively.
• Expert proficiency with current standard authoring tools, including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Visio.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, or equivalent tools.
• Previous experience with medical devices or another regulated environment.
• Ability to complete assignments with minimal instruction and supervision.
• Preferred: understanding of document control processes, decision-tracking software such as OneNote, Excel, and Smartsheet, and localization processes.
• Ability to manage time and communicate exceptionally well in a self-directed role.

• Write, edit, and maintain internal process documentation in accordance with our templates and guidelines.
• Provide ongoing writing support to cross-functional teams as they transition processes to our templates and guidelines.
• Develop and maintain process documentation flow charts.
• Work with department teams and cross-functional subject matter experts to learn processes and create, edit, and maintain documentation.
• Ensure documentation complies with Quality, Document Control, and Good Documentation Practice (GDP) guidelines.
• Follow document control steps to release documentation and upload files to the document control system.
• Address complex issues creatively and effectively, applying technical communication expertise, industry best practices, and an understanding of company objectives.
• Lead writing projects and mentor other writers as needed.
• Stay informed about compliance requirements relevant to the work and follow them.
• Complete required training on regulatory issues affecting the work and share relevant knowledge with others, raising compliance questions or concerns with management.
• Follow policies, procedures, style guides, and quality documents, and collaborate with project team members to share knowledge and best practices.
