Cable Technician

Responsibilities

• Pull, install, and terminate Cat5e and Cat6 cabling
• Work with fiber optic cabling (splicing is a plus)
• Perform testing and basic troubleshooting
• Read and follow blueprints and project specifications
• Maintain clean and organized job sites
• Travel to project sites across Southern California

Qualifications

• 4 to 5+ years of structured cabling experience
• Strong experience with Cat5e/Cat6 installation and termination
• Fiber optic experience required
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Own basic cabling tools
• Reliable vehicle (must be able to transport a ladder or equipment)
• Flexibility to work early start times and longer shifts

Preferred Experience

• Fiber splicing
• Data center, hospital, or secure environment projects
• Government or regulated job site experience
• BICSI certification

Requirements

• Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and fingerprinting (Live Scan)
• Comfortable working in a secure or regulated environment

Compensation

• Full-time hours with overtime potential
• Mileage reimbursement for qualifying travel distances

Additional Details

• One onsite panel interview required
• Work is based out of the South Bay; daily commute required
• Project is ongoing with opportunity for extension and future work

This is a Contract position based out of Torrance, CA.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
