Position: Field Site Manager – Process Equipment Installation

Location:  Charlotte, NC 28280 with up to 80% travel in the U.S. and occasional to Europe

This is a permanent, full time position.  

This position offers comprehensive technical training and the opportunity to grow into future leadership within an expanding U.S. operation.

Salary $120K - $150K + Benefits

I am looking for a Field Site Manager - Construction and Process Equipment to lead the installation, assembly, commissioning, and qualification support of pharmaceutical process systems and GMP-compliant equipment. 

You will serve as the owners representative at customer sites, coordinating employees, subcontractors, vendors, international project teams, and customer stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise equipment installation, assembly, commissioning, and startup activities.
• Lead onsite employees, contractors, subcontractors, and skilled trades.
• Manage site safety, quality, schedule, materials, and daily field execution.
• Review mechanical drawings, specifications, installation documents, and project requirements.
• Troubleshoot technical, scheduling, and resource issues.
• Manage equipment receipt, inspection, storage, punch lists, and non-conformances.
• Communicate project status, risks, and action items to customers and company leadership.
• Perform hands-on technical work when needed.
• Support customer training and project turnover.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Five or more years of large industrial construction, mechanical installation, or process-equipment installation experience.
• Experience supervising industrial equipment installation, commissioning, startup, or mechanical completion.
• Experience leading contractors, subcontractors, technicians, or skilled trades.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, equipment specifications, and installation requirements.
• Strong field leadership, safety, scheduling, troubleshooting, and customer communication skills.
• Willingness to travel approximately 80% across North America.
• Ability to travel to Slovenia for initial training and to Europe two to three times annually.
• Authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Preferred Experience

• Pharmaceutical, biotech, GMP, food and beverage, chemical, or another regulated process industry.
• Process skids, tanks, vessels, GMP washers, CIP/SIP systems, sanitary piping, or clean utilities.
• FAT, SAT, commissioning, IQ/OQ, or qualification support.
• Experience with an equipment manufacturer, systems integrator, EPC firm, or mechanical contractor.
