Bioinformatics Training Specialist

Bioinformatics Training Specialist Serve as a Bioinformatics Training Specialist supporting the adoption and enhancement of enterprise bioinformatics platforms and analytical tools. In this role, you will apply bioinformatics domain knowledge to create clear scientific and public health training materials, assist with product demonstrations, stakeholder briefings, and user engagement activities to support adoption and feedback, including user acceptance testing activities. You will partner closely with product managers and engineering teams to ensure the platforms are user-centered, drive platform adoption, and deliver actionable solutions to a variety of support and operational challenges. Responsibilities Create user-facing training materials, including standard operating procedures, job aids, and troubleshooting guides. Lead product demonstrations and user/ stakeholder discussions, ask probing questions, document requirements, and translate them into implementation steps. Analyze and prioritize user requests for the team and support the development of actionable solutions. Track requirements and delivery progress using tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira. Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams to ensure bioinformatics platforms are user‑centered and deliver high user satisfaction. Qualifications • 2+ years of experience analyzing bioinformatics workflows, data types, and analytical use cases such as genomics, sequencing data, pipelines, or surveillance analytics.

• Knowledge of common bioinformatics, life sciences, or public health data platforms or analytical tools.
• Ability to write user‑facing materials in plain language.
• Ability to lead product demonstrations, user discussions, and translate requirements into actionable implementation steps.
• Ability to analyze and prioritize user requests.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements.
• Master’s degree (preferred).

Nice If You Have Experience in a system support or solutions‑focused role. Knowledge of managing and operating with enterprise systems such as ServiceNow or platform‑specific ticketing systems. Knowledge of big data, analytics, or bioinformatics platforms in a cloud environment. Master’s degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or Genomics.
