Work Environment

As a Pediatric PTA at our hospital, you will operate in a nurturing and collaborative atmosphere that emphasizes teamwork and professional development. Our facility is equipped with the latest therapeutic technologies and resources, enabling you to provide the best possible care. You will work a consistent Monday to Friday schedule, from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a work-life balance while focusing on improving children's physical health.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the supervising Physical Therapist in creating and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each pediatric patient's specific needs and goals.

• Provide hands-on care through engaging activities such as exercises, mobility training, and strength-building tasks for children.

• Continuously track patient progress, documenting observations and improvements while communicating effectively with the supervising Physical Therapist.

• Educate and actively engage families in the therapy process, supplying them with comprehensive home exercise programs and developmental guidance.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to all company policies and regulatory guidelines regarding documentation.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including other healthcare professionals, to coordinate and enhance the therapeutic process for each child.

• Support and motivate patients throughout their therapy, celebrating small victories to foster a positive experience and further their rehabilitation journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on pediatric patients who may have various conditions affecting their physical development and mobility. This includes children with developmental delays, orthopedic injuries, neurological challenges, and other physical disabilities. Your empathetic approach and ability to create a fun therapy environment will help empower these children, ensuring that they enjoy the rehabilitation process while achieving their health goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program is required.

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Nevada.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with both children and their families.

• The ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when required.

• Current CPR and First Aid certification is essential.

Preferred Experience

• While pediatric physical therapy experience is preferred, it is not mandatory. A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their developmental journey is essential.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
