This full-time position offers you the opportunity to work closely with athletes ranging from amateurs to professionals, focusing on both injury prevention and rehabilitation. Your role will be pivotal in helping athletes recover from sports injuries and improve their overall athletic performance through personalized care.

Work Environment

The Sports Physical Therapist will operate in an onsite outpatient clinic, where you will engage directly with patients in a supportive and collaborative setting. The team comprises experienced physical therapists, athletic trainers, and medical professionals dedicated to fostering a positive environment focused on rehabilitation and performance enhancement. In addition, our clinic schedules appointments conveniently from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life routine.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations for athletes with both acute and chronic injuries, using standardized assessment tools and techniques to determine functional capabilities and limitations.
• Create and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices to facilitate recovery and enhance athletic performance.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy techniques, specialized exercise regimens, and sport-specific drills tailored to the needs of each patient.
• Provide one-on-one care without the use of techs or aides, ensuring personalized attention that targets each athlete's unique goals.
• Collaborate with coaches, athletic trainers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and adapt rehabilitation protocols that align with athlete needs and sport demands.
• Employ injury prevention strategies and return-to-play protocols to ensure athletes can safely resume their activities.
• Monitor patient progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans based on ongoing evaluations and feedback.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through participation in a structured mentorship program with a fellowship-trained therapist, focusing on advanced techniques and clinical skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse range of athletes of different ages and skill levels, including recreational players, serious competitors, and those recovering from significant sports-related injuries. As a Sports Physical Therapist, you will understand the unique demands placed on athletes and be committed to helping them safely return to their sport.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree (MPT) or a Doctorate (DPT) in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• An active Physical Therapy license in the state of Nevada.
• A foundational understanding of sports rehabilitation protocols and return-to-sport programs.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in sports or orthopedic outpatient settings is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with manual therapy and functional training techniques that enhance athletic performance.
• Proven ability to engage with patients and foster a therapeutic alliance, enhancing patient satisfaction and adherence to treatment.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and clinical documentation practices is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
