**Job Posting Title:**Communications Strategist**----****Hiring Department:**Special Education**----****Position Open To:**All Applicants**----****Weekly Scheduled Hours:**20**----****FLSA Status:**Exempt from FLSA**----****Earliest Start Date:**Oct 01, 2026**----****Position Duration:**Expected to Continue Until Dec 31, 2026**----****Location:**Texas**----****Job Details:**## General Notes*This position is 20 hours a week with a possibility of continuation.*## PurposeThe Communications Strategist helps drive how NDC shows up across our communications and partnerships, This role supports two distinct brands: NDC and Deafverse, and works closely with the Communications Director and Social Media Coordinator to plan, produce, and distribute content that reaches deaf students, educators, VR counselors, and partner organizations.## Responsibilities* Leads strategic planning and develops campaign briefs across NDC and Deafverse communications* Manages newsletter and newsfeed production from planning through distribution* Coordinates web updates and maintains the working relationship with NDC's web contractor* Supports partnership coordination and outreach on behalf of the Communications Director* Maintains the editorial calendar and keeps communications sequenced and aligned* Tracks and reports analytics across communications efforts* Supports video and multimedia content distribution across NDC's communications## Required QualificationsBachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience. 3–5 years in communications, marketing, or outreach.*Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.*## Preferred QualificationsExperience in a nonprofit, higher education, or mission-driven organization.
