About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience preferred License: Current NC or Compact license preferred Certifications: ACLS BLS Must-Have: Teamwork approach to patient care Focus on patient safety Description: This is a Neuro unit. RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly lead to a cancellation. Unit will accept first-time travelers. Local candidates are accepted. Unit ratios are 1:6. 36 or 48 hours per week are accepted. 13 to 26 weeks contracts are accepted. Float requirement: Yes, travelers float first. Weekend requirement: 5-6 weekend shifts, equating to every other weekend. Staff may be assigned to work during catastrophic events, mass casualties, or disasters. Contract staff may be pre-assigned to units as needed. Patient diagnoses include general medicine with a focus on neuro. Unit systems used include Pyxis and EPIC. Must pass EKG testing prior to start for this specialty. A teamwork approach and adherence to behavioral expectations are required in all interactions with patients and staff. Must be able to adhere to the call-off policy, which is strongly enforced. Candidates must be open to floating within or near the facility as per job description. Current travel Per Diem clinicians are not eligible for travel contracts. References can be pending at submission. Pre-start modules must be completed prior to start and annually, as required by specialty. Conducted online, must use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge as your browser.
