This job was posted by : For more Information, Please See Essential Functions Under administrative direction, serves as a Business Analyst for the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT) supporting the Illinois State Police (ISP) performing complex professional and advisory functions for the Application Services. Develops user stories, use cases, and program specifications, supporting design, testing, training, knowledge transfer, system tuning, and system implementation efforts to ensure business analysis results are accurately translated and maintained throughout the full System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Collaborates with Department of Innovation and Technology (DoIT) technical staff and serves as a project team leader on complex initiatives, overseeing project planning, task coordination, technical solution development, and quality assurance to ensure successful project delivery. Analyzes and recommends new procedures and techniques to improve requirements gathering, articulation, process, and data modeling, testing and documentation process. Keeps abreast of new developments in the information technology field by continuing education through online training platforms**,**meetings, training sessions, seminars, and conferences to increase familiarity with and remain current on products, vendors, techniques, and procedures. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above. Minimum Qualifications Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to four (4) years of college with course work in computer science or directly related fields.
