Patient Service Representative

We are seeking a detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to support daily clinic operations by providing excellent customer service, registering patients, scheduling appointments, collecting payments, and maintaining accurate patient records. This role requires EPIC experience, strong computer skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of healthcare experience.
- EPIC experience required.
- OnBase experience heavily preferred.
- Customer service experience.
- Strong computer, communication, and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and complete check-in and check-out procedures.
- Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information.
- Collect co-pays, outstanding balances, and other patient payments.
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and follow up on appointment requests.
- Prepare for upcoming clinic days and provide general clerical support.
- Manage EPIC work queues, including charge review, claim edits, follow-up, and missing guarantor information.
- Research billing errors and insurance denials, correct discrepancies, and ensure accurate charge entry.
- Assist patients and staff with billing and insurance questions.
- Maintain accurate patient records and support daily reconciliation procedures.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to improve workflows and deliver a positive patient experience.
- Communicate clearly with patients, explain processes, and maintain a professional, compassionate, and inclusive environment.
