The Carolina Center for Behavioral Health is currently hiring a physical therapist to join our team of dedicated professionals. The Carolina Center is a 156-bed private behavioral health system located in Greenville, South Carolina. Specializing in psychiatric programs and substance abuse treatments, the center serves Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson, and areas throughout South Carolina and western North Carolina. Programs are available at various levels of care to accommodate the severity of every patient's condition: inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient treatment.

To provide individual patient consultation and assessment as ordered by physician for referrals such as nursing home and assisted living facilities. Administer therapeutic exercises, modalities, and manual therapy techniques to improve mobility and relieve pain. Collaborate and work with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for patients. Maintain accurate records of patient evaluations, progress notes, and treatment outcomes for billing and documentation requirements. Assist with consultation and evaluation as needed for discharge planning and referrals to SNF, ALF or other levels of care.

Qualifications requirements include a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree, zero-one (0-1) year of experience required, three-five (3-5) years of related experience preferred, experience with psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred. Additional requirements include successful completion of Management Aggressive Behavior Training (HWC) before on the unit orientation and prior to assisting with restraining procedures. Successful certification through American Red Cross or American Heart Association for CPR prior to taking an independent patient assignment.

Work hours are day shift Monday-Friday, may be asked to work overtime and flexible hours.
