Overview Job description: Join our dynamic logistics team as a Shipping & Receiving Forklift Operator, where you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods through efficient shipping and receiving operations. Responsibilities Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and other warehouse equipment to load, unload, move, and position goods with precision. Manage inbound shipments by verifying delivery documentation, inspecting cargo for damage, and recording receipt details accurately using warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP systems like AS400 or MRP software. Prepare outbound shipments by picking orders using order pickers and order pick lists, packing items securely, and ensuring proper labeling for shipping logistics compliance. Maintain accurate inventory records through data entry into inventory management software and perform regular stock counts to ensure inventory accuracy. Coordinate with warehouse distribution teams to optimize storage space, organize stock for easy retrieval, and support order fulfillment processes efficiently. Ensure compliance with trade regulations and international trade laws during shipping and receiving activities. Assist with packaging, stocking, and loading/unloading goods while adhering to safety protocols and operational procedures. Qualifications Proven experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and RF scanners. Strong knowledge of warehouse operations including shipping logistics, inventory management software, and order fulfillment processes. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems like AS400 or MRP platforms, and inventory management tools. Basic math skills for counting, measurements, and verifying shipment quantities accurately. Excellent data entry skills coupled with attention to detail for maintaining precise records of shipments and inventory movements. Ability to follow safety procedures diligently while handling heavy equipment and materials in a fast-paced environment. Customer service orientation with good communication skills to coordinate effectively within the team and support internal stakeholders. Bilingual a plus.
