Part Time Fort Hall, ID, US Salary Range: $11.91 To $16.08 Hourly JOB DESCRIPTION POSITION TITLE DEPARTMENT REPORTS TO LICENSING LEVEL SALARY GRADE T01 FLSA STATUS Tipped POSITION SUMMARY Under the direct supervision of the Beverage Manager, contributes to the efficient daily operation of Food & Beverage activities by mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to guests while maintaining high standards of cleanliness of each bar area, in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the Shoshone-Bannock Casino Hotel. Maintains professionalism in all interactions with internal and external customers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Verifies guest age for purchase of alcohol. Cleans glasses, utensils, and bar equipment. Takes beverage orders from serving staff or directly from guests. Mixes ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks according to established recipes and procedures. Maintains accountability of beverages served. Sets up, stocks, cleans, maintains, and breaks down work area. Processes payment from customers. Maintains bar inventory and supplies; places orders with outside vendors as directed. Provides excellent customer service for all internal and external customers. Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required. Performs other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Knowledge of: Goals, objectives, functions, policies, and procedures of Shoshone-Bannock Casino Hotel. Applicable federal, state, tribal, and gaming laws, regulations, requirements, and principles. Bar operations, maintenance, and guest service. Mixology and drink mixing tools and techniques. Cash handling and point of sale systems and procedures. Basic arithmetic. Skill in: Analyzing problems, projecting consequences, identifying solutions, and implementing recommendations. Addressing customer problems. Providing exceptional customer service. Ability to: Communicate efficiently and effectively both verbally and in writing. Maintain confidentiality. Interact and maintain good working relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds. Analyze situations and adopt appropriate courses of action. One (1) year of bartending experience. A combination of relevant education and related work experience may be considered. Must be able to successfully pass a background screening / investigation according to the established requirements below.Tribal and Native American preference shall apply to all positions. CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND/OR REGISTRATIONS Must obtain and maintain Food Handler’s, Food ServSafe, Alcohol ServSafe, and TIPS certifications. Must be able to submit supporting documentation of education and training to support qualifications. Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license in good standing according to licensing rules and regulations. WORK ENVIRONMENT Work is generally performed in a casino bar setting with a high noise level. Evening and/or weekend work may be required. Tight time constraints and multiple demands are common.
