Accountable for the provision and coordination of competent, evidence-based care across the continuum from assessment and diagnosis to outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Actively participates in clinical decision-making, teaching, mentoring, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to advance patient care plans, achieve optimal outcomes, and enhance operational efficiency. Adheres to the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statement, ensuring professional integrity and high-quality care in every setting. Requires system-wide flexibility & clinical versatility to provide essential coverage across a wide range of inpatient settings including medical-surgical, progressive care, critical care, emergency, and specialty units based on real-time staffing needs and patient acuity. Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) required for those newly hired or promoted into the position after October 1, 2025.Requires an active Registered Nurse license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN License.Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.2 years of experience preferred.Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.Requires incumbent to be highly adaptable, confident, and skilled in managing change. Experienced in multiple specialties or eager to broaden clinical scope required.Must possess strong communication skills with excellent critical thinking and organizational skills.
