Job Summary We’re seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent to join our team on a 4-month contract at a premier multifamily housing project in Belmont, California. This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional who is between long-term positions, has recently completed a project, or enjoys bringing complex projects across the finish line. You’ll work on an active, well-managed project during the final stages of construction and collaborate with an experienced Superintendent and Project Manager to deliver a successful turnover. If you have experience with multifamily apartment construction , enjoy solving field challenges, coordinating trades, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety, we’d love to talk with you. Key Responsibilities Support the Superintendent in daily field operations on an active multifamily project. Coordinate subcontractors and maintain production through the final phases of construction. Help manage punch lists, inspections, closeout activities, and turnover preparation. Monitor quality control and ensure work complies with plans, specifications, and company standards. Maintain a safe jobsite and enforce company safety expectations. Assist with short-term scheduling, trade coordination, and issue resolution. Work closely with the Project Manager, field team, inspectors, and subcontractors to keep the project moving toward completion. Qualifications Experience as an Assistant Superintendent or Superintendent on multifamily, podium, or apartment construction projects. Strong understanding of finish work, punch, inspections, and project closeout. Ability to coordinate multiple trades in an active construction environment. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Commitment to safety, quality, and schedule performance. Ability to hit the ground running with minimal onboarding. Physical Requirements Ability to work on active construction sites (standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 60 lbs). Ability to work at a desk and computer for extended periods. Willingness to work overtime as needed.
