Property Accountant – Multifamily Real Estate | Philadelphia Metro Area | $70,000-80,000 A growing and entrepreneurial real estate organization in the Greater Philadelphia area is seeking a highly motivated Property Accountant to join their expanding team. This role supports a portfolio of approximately 1,300 owned multifamily units, along with select third-party managed assets. Why This Opportunity Stands Out Growing real estate investment and property management company with long-term expansion plans Opportunity to work directly with leadership, including Finance and Executive teams Exposure to both owned and third-party multifamily assets Entrepreneurial culture where strong performers can grow quickly Flexible and supportive environment with leadership that values initiative and problem-solving Competitive compensation and benefits package Key Responsibilities Full-cycle property accounting for an assigned portfolio of residential and/or mixed-use assets General ledger management, journal entries, and month‑end close processes Accounts payable and accounts receivable processing Bank reconciliations and cash management Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting Budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis Researching and resolving ledger discrepancies, P&L variances, and accounting issues Managing resident and ownership accounting inquiries with professionalism and urgency Supporting policy updates, onboarding/offboarding processes, and operational accounting changes Collaborating cross-functionally with property operations, leadership, and remote support staff Utilizing accounting and property management software to improve efficiency and accuracy Ideal Candidate Profile The successful candidate is someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently.
