What this job involves:

The Maintenance Technicianis responsible forperforming a wide range of building maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the proper functioning and upkeep of facilities. This role requires versatility in handling various aspects of building maintenance, including interior repairs, lighting systems, plumbing, and equipment maintenance.The position requires openness toadditionalresponsibilities and flexible scheduling as business needs require.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Proficiencywithcommercial door repairs to includeelectrified locks, panic hardware, mortise systems, and automatic/manual sliding doors is preferred

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues

• Perform general building maintenance including property interior and exterior carpentry, drywall, light electrical, lightplumbingand painting

• Assist with HVAC systems maintenanceand repairs

• Conduct regular inspections of premises and equipment

• Complete assigned work orders in CMMS andmaintainsappropriate servicedocumentation

• Assistthe engineering team in the maintenance and repair of building systems and equipment

• Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs

• Participate in rotating on-call schedule for after-hours emergencyresponse

• Respond to facility emergencies, system failures, and urgent maintenance issues outside normal business hours

• Maintainreadiness to address critical building system malfunctions

Required Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship

• Minimum of 3 years of applicable working experience in general building repairs and maintenance ina commercial, industrial, or manufacturing environment

• Experience with preventative maintenance procedures

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports

• Proficiencyin basic computer applications and software such as MS Office, Slack, and email

• Valid driver's license

• High school diploma or GED equivalent

• Proficiencyin using various hand and power tools

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications in specific trade areas (e.g., HVAC, electrical)

• Experience with building automation systems

• Knowledge of energy conservation practices

• Trade school educationormilitary service is desirable

• Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and building automation systems (BAS)
