Assistant Director Investment Accounting

The New York State Insurance Fund seeks an Assistant Director Investment Accounting to lead and participate in investment accounting activities for a $22 billion portfolio spanning equities, fixed income, private markets, and syndicated loans. The role involves validating vendor-provided accounting data, supporting month-end close processes, producing financial reports, reconciling large datasets, and coordinating with external auditors and investment managers. This is a full-time, permanent position based in New York City with the possibility of up to 50% telecommuting. Key qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting-related field At least seven years of highly analytical experience in Statutory basis investment accounting on an established platform Accounting experience with private markets investments (e.g., private equity limited partnerships) Proficiency reviewing regulatory schedules (Schedule BA, Schedule D) Ability to reconcile investment accounting general ledger to core investment accounting reports and regulatory schedules Experience producing roll-forward reconciliations of book/carrying values and earned income #J-18808-Ljbffr Insurance Fund, State
